Municipal Support

We work with Municipalities across the province to ensure their Hydrants are serviced and in working order. Our program provides certified and experience operators to work with local public works staff to fill gaps in the municipalities ability to service, maintain, and repair hydrants. We can provide some or all of these functions, depending on the ability of the municipality to complete this work internally. Our goal is to repair as many hydrants as possible to avoid costly digs to install new infrastructure.  Our team prides ourselves on repairing hydrants that other companies have deemed "not repairable".

Typically, we start with an inspection of the Hydrants on the distribution system including;

We then provide our findings to the Municipality and options for repair timelines and costs. Depending on quantity and cost of the repairs, this could be a multiyear plan.

We continue the annual or semi-annual inspections and can include a service package that would include all minor repairs and small components. All large repairs would be documented and an estimate for the repair would be provided.

Fire capacity testing can be provided at the 5 year interval or as per the Insurance Underwriters requirements.

Our Municipal Program reduces maintenance costs, training costs, and provides peace of mind by providing serviced hydrants with annual inspection documentation and clear forecasts for budgeting. You can trust your Hydrants to A&R Hydrant Repair.
